Meridian Hotel — Environmental Identity

A 40-room boutique hotel with no visual language and four months to opening. We built an identity system designed for architecture — wayfinding, in-room, print, and digital from a single mark.

Environmental identity is the most demanding form of brand work. Every surface is a constraint. Every material has its own logic. The mark needs to work etched in brass, printed on cotton stationery, and rendered on a web check-in screen simultaneously.

We built the Meridian system around a single geometric principle: the crossing of two perpendicular lines at a precise offset. It is the mark. It is the grid. It is the relationship between the lobby signage columns and the room numbering system.

The palette is cool and restrained: off-white, deep slate, and a single warm brass for metal applications. The digital adaptation uses the same proportional logic — identical rhythm, different substrate.
